Winter seems to be settling in with highs in the 60's and lows in the 30's. Not much rain but the winds have been cold and nasty. We still can feel the sun by mid day and are very thankful for that. Next week seems to be about the same and as for tonight Halloween should go rather smoothly with a temp in the 40's.

Lots of football games this weekend and Backyard Grill & Bar is the place to be. Located within walking distance from our property here at Comfort Suites; they offer 15% off your check when you present your room key. Backyard offers specials during all pro games with $5.00 appetizers and bar specials too.

Give Comfort Suites a call for all your reservations and or questions about booking anything from 1 room for you and family to our Ballroom that can accommodate up to 250 people. There is always someone that can take your call and our sales department is here until 5pm Monday- Friday. We will look forward to hearing from and seeing you soon!

It seems that the weather in Manassas is holding up pretty well. We have had some windy days with a little chill but for the most part warm in the afternoons and cool nights. Temps in the 70's and even 80's here for the last week and should continue through the next.
This weekend has a few things to offer in Old Town Manassas; today at 8pm check out "The Importance of Being Earnest" at The Cramer Center.
Manassas is famous for our historic Battlefield Park where you can walk the grounds and explore two great battles of the American Civil War on Saturday. Start your visit at the Henry Hill Visitors Center. Check the board for daily interpretive programs. Go for a hike, explore historic sites, check out the bookstore and museum.

This year's Jubilee will include an assortment of live entertainment for both kids and adults. The Kid's Neighborhood sponsored by Minnieland, will once again be located in the BB&T parking lot, and will feature entertainment by Mark Bedell, the wacky antics of Lisa and Mr. Bump, Rocknoceros' music for kids, and a variety of some very talented local youth. Food concessions, rides and games make the Fall Jubilee a fun family day! Don't forget the main attraction of the Jubilee, our artisans and crafters! Handmade jewelry, woodcrafts, phptography, re-usable gift wrap, and other unique art and crafts will all be in attendance. A great way to get an early start on your holiday shopping! Stop by to say hello to our community exhibits as well, many of whom will be raffling off some great prizes.

Looks like a wonderful weekend ahead for Northern Va. We have had some rain the last couple of days but now everything is clearing up with high hopes for clear skies and light winds today, tomorrow and Sunday. Highs of 71 degrees and then 75 on Monday. It is really starting to feel like fall out there so take my advice and wear a light jacket or sweatshirt; even a pair of gloves and cap if you plan to be out in the evening.
Other news is that gas prices here went down; lowest that I have seen located right across the street from us is Raceway at $3.49 per gallon. That is good news for everyone's pockets.
Some info for the sport fanatic, this weekends game list. Who's playing who and where.
NFL: Oct. 4-5th
Seattle @ N.Y. Giants
Washington @ Philadelphia
San Diego @ Miami
Kansas City @ Carolina
Tennessee @ Baltimore
Indianapolis @ Houston
Chicago @ Detroit
Atlanta @ Green Bay
Tampa Bay @ Denver
Cincinnati @ Dallas
Buffalo @ Arizona
New England @ San Francisco
Pittsburgh @ Jacksonville
Minnesota @ New Orleans
You can catch all these games at the local Backyard Bar & Grill! Backyard offers happy hour prices during the games as well as $5.00 specials on appetizers and their fabulous hamburger and cheeseburger platters.
Make your reservations with us here at the Comfort Suites Manassas soon so that you and your families can get in on all the fun this weekend! See you then!
